Napnuts > My first game of General de Brigade.

A meeting engagement with the bridge and town as objectives. The British and Portugese begin outnumbering the French. French reinforcements appear across the river on turn 4.
Napnuts > By turn 5 the Brits and French each take half the town. They proceed to fire ineffectually for the next few turns.

The British cavalry push the French cavalry back, but this allows the reinforcements to cross the bridge unopposed.
Napnuts > Lots of shooting to little effect.

The British chase the French cavalry back but more French cavalry are setting up for a charge to the rear.
Napnuts > The British infantry and canon on the right shoot incredibly well and force the French combined cavalry and infantry charge to bounce.

The French cavalry reinforcements destroy the British cavalry with a rear charge... but not before the British destroy the retreating French cavalry.
Napnuts > The French charge the British in the village. Again excellent shooting cause the French to halt their charge.
Napnuts > The French regroup. They still have over whelming strength on the right flank and get ready to renew the attack.
Napnuts > The French line up and ...
Napnuts > The charges go in. The British retreat out of the village. Heavily out numbered with the village out flanked, the British sound the retreat.
Napnuts > On the left flank the British finally break through ... but it's too late to stop the French on the right.
